If thin is in and being fat is not only a "moral failing" but, leaves you on the outside of style, then how can a plus size woman be or create anything aspirational?
This! I know for certain that always being a size 12-16 throughout my life has made me more fashionable because I had to develop my own taste and be more intentional with what I wore, where I shopped, etc. Those skills translate to the way I shop for everything—furniture, housing, groceries, wine, etcetera. Thank you for sharing this because it was so well written and affirming 🤍
I've always made space for myself, backed by encouragement that I can be anything. Fashion has been my muse since childhood—my mom loves to share stories of me choosing my outfits at just 2 years old. I lost my way for a bit, but in high school, I rediscovered my passion, and by 19, I found myself completely. It's tough out there, but my love for myself and for fashion remains strong.
