Things to Consider - Vol. 1

I’m sickened by the callousness of the world and those to seek to harm our brother’s and sisters globally. Can a girl have a regulated nervous system for more than 24 hours?
Oh yeah, happy new year. It’s been a little while. Hope everything was gorgeous and delicious and an absolute vibe in your holiday season!
It’s been rainy and “freezing” (low 60’s) in Palm Springs and that’s left me staring at and scrutinizing my house - contemplating the upgrades I’d like to make, rooms I need to finish etc. I took down my holiday decor two days after Christmas. My family was still here - my cousins ran out to take care of a few errands and suddenly my sister and I decided to feverishly take down everything. It was exhilarating. Having decorated in October (don’t at me, 10/10 would do it again!), I felt satisfied with the level of holiday cheer I’d consumed/participated in so, taking things down felt right.
Naturally I rearranged my living room once taking down the tree. This layout feels SO right. It’s still a bit challenging to photograph but I’m going to build from here. Currently swooning over so many light fixtures.
I’m going to put this gorgeous fixture over my dining table. After of course, I have my electrician remove the EIGHT can lights from this one ceiling. I know, obviously a man did this. I can’t even deal.
There are massive projects I’d like to undertake including reworking my bathrooms - not urgent but creatively lusty. Admittedly, I regularly think about ripping out walls and doing extreme renovations that - at the end of the are sort of, girl - just get a different house vibes. There are even more tiny projects that I’ve put off or constantly procrastinate that I’ve committed to addressing. A little accountability IG series never hurt nobody eh?

I hate the mirrored closet doors which are in both my primary and guest bedrooms. I’ve been toying around with the idea of going full mirrored doors with some sort of sickening overlay. Also not remotely urgent but the desire is bubbling.
Consider this! I’d love build some sort of wood accent and add gorgeous pulls like this work of art below.
My garage/art studio has gone full on garage (derogatory) and needs to be fully reset.
I saw a Parisian apartment recently that changed my brain chemistry and reinforced my thinking around antiques and modern/post modern furniture dancing a delightful dance.
